Corby Stonebraker-Soles, Owner/Manager
Corby joined the "second wave" of Oregon wine industry entrepreneurs who arrived in the mid 80's to discover what Oregon had to offer. Once she acclimated to the moist conditions... she was hooked. Corby co-owned Panther Creek Cellars in its start-up years and was a founding board member of the International Pinot Noir Celebration and the event's Executive Director for two years. She also helped to organize the Yamhill County's Wineries Associations early marketing efforts as its Managing Director.
In 1992 she sold her partnership in Panther Creek and began a nine-year stint as Executive Director for a regional arts center in Corvallis.
Once the children conquered high school Corby and husband, Rollin moved back to the Willamette Valley to plant their Wits' End Vineyard on Chehalem Mountain. Ever the instigator, Corby soon found herself managing their new ROCO wine brand and in 2009 they built the new ROCO winemaking facility on a small farm purchased for just that reason.
Corby Stonebraker-Soles is a native of Chicago, Illinois. Seeking new adventures she followed the sun to Arizona and received a bachelor's degree in journalism from ASU. Her early career in CA was spent as a writer and editor. When not at the ROCO office you can find Corby in her studio where she conjures up new glass art pieces.
